Online firm Starts Trade in Gift Cards

Consumers who have unwanted gift card vouchers can now trade them for cash through a new online company set up expressly for the purpose.

Cardlimbo.com.au, which was launched on Monday, says it is the first online company in Australia dedicated to selling, buying or donating gift card vouchers.

Australian retailers issue up to $1 billion worth of gift card vouchers each year, but vouchers worth millions of dollars expire unused.

Cardlimbo said that the Australian Consumers' Association had estimated that one in three gift card vouchers in Australia expire without being used..........
